info: Quotes so far---
LAB would be happy to provide this
service. In order to provide an estimate on number of aircraft I will
need ---type of raft frames --any rafts paddled-- number of large
coolers--etc. We have several different sizes of aircraft and we always
keep the lift as efficient as possible. In our prices we stand good for
weather and do not charge more for flying the long way around if the passes are
closed. The prices are $700 for a 3 place A/C (600lbs)
$930 for a 5 place (1000lbs) $1500 for a nine place twin (1500lbs).
The twin is stationed in Ketchikan but may be in the area. The 5 place
planes usually do most of this work.

Hi William
Yes the 10' and the break down oars
(Carlisle's) will be fine.
Most groups will send all but one or
two people to Yakutat where they will get on Alaska Airlines as they have two
flights per day to and from Yakutat, Flight 61 and 66.We will shuttle them from
our facility to Alaska Airlines with our van. Then all gear and one or two
people to Haines.
Two passengers and 4500# of gear to
Haines = 5 loads @ $780 each = $3900
15 passengers with personal gear to
Yakutat = 4 loads @ $270
each = $1080
total = $4980
I have been hauling rafters out of
Dry Bay now for 10 years.
This estimate is based on the
average amount of gear that groups bring with them.

Hi Bill,
Happy New Year!
We have cessna 206 and deHavilland Beaver.
Which aircraft we use depends upon the load you want us to fly.
Example: 3 and gear to Yakutat in the cessna is about $290, 6 and gear to
Yakutat in the Beaver is about $565. Haines is about $875 and $1980
respectivley. These are not per person costs but are per aircraft.
These prices may increase depending on fuel and
insurance costs for 2005.
Hope this info is useful, Thanks, David Russell
